Adil Deifalla Mohamed Abdalla, a male Sudanese national, was born on 26th April 1959. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences. He has served as a Teaching Assistant, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and the Water Management and Irrigation Institute of the University of Gezira in Sudan. He is currently (since 2023) teaching at Kampala International University in South Western Uganda. He has taught many courses at the under and postgraduate levels, supervised many students at the Master and Ph.D. levels, and published several papers in national and international journals. He has been a member of several committees at the national and regional levels, and attended many conferences and workshops at the national, regional and international levels. His administrative experience include serving as Head Department of Crop Science, Deputy Dean and Dean Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Dean of Students and Secretary of Academic Affairs at University of Gezira and also Dean, Gezira College of Technology, a private College in Khartoum, Sudan. In his career he has actively engaged in working with rural communities to improve their livelihoods especially in terms of promoting community and women education, delivery of agricultural extension services by University of Gezira to rural communities and supporting students’ attachments to rural communities to enhance community agricultural production practices.
